Sportsmanship is fair, respectful conduct in sport that honors opponents, officials, rules, and the spirit of competition.

Fair play: Conduct in sport that follows rules and honors the equal opportunity to compete. Fair play is the practical standard sportsmanship asks competitors to uphold.
Handshake line: A postgame ritual in which athletes greet opponents, often by shaking hands. The ritual makes respect for an opponent visible immediately after competition.
