Theatre architecture : The design of buildings and spaces intended for theatrical performance. The venue’s shape and equipment constrain and enable stagecraft choices.
Naturalism (theatre) : A theatrical movement that seeks to represent ordinary life with detailed, plausible settings and behavior. Its lifelike settings often conceal the machinery that stagecraft uses to create them.
Stage lighting : The use of light in performance to make action visible and shape mood, focus, and time. Lighting controls visibility and guides attention within the designed stage picture.
