State Council of the People's Republic of China

China’s central people’s government and highest administrative organ of state power. It directs executive administration under the Constitution and the authority of the National People’s Congress and its Standing Committee.

Premier of the People's Republic of China: The head of the State Council and China’s head of government. The premier leads the State Council and presides over its executive work.
Constitution of the People's Republic of China: China’s supreme legal document, establishing the state’s institutions, principles, and fundamental rights. The Constitution defines the Council’s status, responsibilities, and relationship to other state organs.
Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China: The central governing body established when the People's Republic of China was founded in 1949. It was the Council’s predecessor before the 1954 constitutional framework took effect.

Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China: China’s central state body that directs the armed forces under the Constitution. It is a separate central state organ, not a department of the State Council.
