Steve McQueen

Steve McQueen (1930–1980) was an American actor whose antihero roles, restrained screen presence, and association with cars and motorcycles made him a major film star.

The Great Escape: A 1963 war film about Allied prisoners planning a mass escape from a German prisoner-of-war camp. McQueen’s role as resourceful prisoner Virgil Hilts became one of his signature performances.
