Street Fighter II

Street Fighter II is a 1991 Capcom arcade fighting game in which players choose distinct fighters for one-on-one combat. Its character roster, special moves, and competitive play helped establish the modern fighting-game genre.

Special move: A game action triggered by a specific input or combination of inputs, often with distinctive effects. Street Fighter II made directional-and-button inputs for signature attacks a defining fighting-game feature.
Street Fighter: Capcom’s 1987 arcade fighting game and the predecessor to the Street Fighter series. Its pressure-sensitive controls and special moves provided foundations that Street Fighter II reworked.
