Collective action : Coordinated action by multiple people pursuing a shared goal. Student activism is collective action directed toward political, social, or educational change.
Mario Savio : An American student activist who became a leading spokesperson of Berkeley’s Free Speech Movement. His speeches gave the 1964 Berkeley campaign a memorable public voice.
Labor movement : Collective organizing by workers to improve working conditions, wages, or political power. Unlike student campaigns, labor movements organize around workers’ shared position in employment.
