Sundarbans National Park

Sundarbans National Park is a protected area in West Bengal, India, within the Sundarbans mangrove forest. It conserves tidal wetlands and habitat for Bengal tigers and other wildlife.

Sundarbans: The world’s largest mangrove forest, spanning the Ganges–Brahmaputra delta in India and Bangladesh. The national park protects a portion of this transboundary mangrove landscape.
Tidal range: The vertical difference between high tide and low tide at a location. Large tidal changes flood and drain the park’s forest islands and mudflats.

Saltwater crocodile: The largest living crocodilian, inhabiting coastal waters and estuaries across the Indo-Pacific. This estuarine predator lives in the park’s tidal rivers and creeks.
