Super Sentai

Super Sentai is a Japanese tokusatsu television franchise in which color-coded superhero teams fight monsters, often using vehicles that combine into giant robots.

Tokusatsu: A Japanese genre of live-action film and television characterized by elaborate practical effects. Super Sentai belongs to this effects-driven tradition of live-action production.
Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The 1975 Japanese television series that introduced a five-member costumed hero team called Gorenger. Its success established the team-hero foundation later continued by Super Sentai.

Ultraman: A Japanese tokusatsu franchise about giant heroes who battle giant monsters. It shares monster spectacle while emphasizing a transforming giant hero rather than a color-coded team.
