Szczecin

Szczecin is a port city in northwestern Poland, on the Oder River near the Baltic Sea. It is the capital of West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Duchy of Pomerania: A historical duchy that ruled much of Pomerania along the southern Baltic coast. Szczecin was a principal seat of the dynasty that ruled this duchy.
Oder: A river in Central Europe that flows north through Poland and forms part of the Polish-German border. The Oder carries Szczecin’s principal waterway toward the Baltic coast.
