Tayeb Salih

Tayeb Salih (1929–2009) was a Sudanese writer best known for Season of Migration to the North, a landmark novel of modern Arabic literature.

Season of Migration to the North: A 1966 novel by Tayeb Salih about a Sudanese man whose return from England unsettles a Nile village. His best-known novel recasts colonial encounter through a returning Sudanese narrator and Mustafa Sa'eed.
