Teide

Teide is a stratovolcano on Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. Its summit, at 3,715 metres, is the highest point in Spain.

Stratovolcano: A steep-sided volcano built from alternating layers of lava, ash, and other erupted material. Teide’s layered cone gives it this characteristic volcanic form.
Pico Viejo: A volcanic peak southwest of Teide’s summit, rising to 3,135 metres on Tenerife. It is a major neighboring cone within Teide’s volcanic complex.
