Tenasserim Hills

The Tenasserim Hills are a mountain range along the Myanmar–Thailand border and part of the larger Tenasserim Range.

Tenasserim Range: A mountain system running along the Malay Peninsula and parts of the Myanmar–Thailand border. The Tenasserim Hills form a section of this larger mountain system.
Salween River: A major Southeast Asian river flowing from the Tibetan Plateau through Myanmar to the Andaman Sea. Its basin drains parts of the western slopes of the northern Tenasserim uplands.
Kayah-Karen montane rain forests: A tropical montane forest ecoregion spanning uplands in Myanmar and western Thailand. This neighboring forest system extends northward from the Tenasserim uplands.
Kaeng Krachan National Park: Thailand’s largest national park, encompassing forested mountains near the Myanmar border. Its western landscapes include the Thai-side Tenasserim mountain frontier.
Dawna Range: A mountain range in southeastern Myanmar, west of Thailand’s western borderlands. The Dawna Range lies north of the Tenasserim Hills within the same border region.
Tenasserim River: A river in southeastern Myanmar flowing south toward the Andaman Sea. The river drains terrain in the Tenasserim region and gives the range its geographic setting.
Tenasserim–South Thailand semi-evergreen rain forests: A tropical forest ecoregion of southern Myanmar and western Thailand. It covers lower and wetter landscapes adjoining portions of the hills.
Kui Buri National Park: A protected area in western Thailand known for forest, wildlife, and elephant conservation. It safeguards habitat in the southern Thai Tenasserim uplands.
Bilauktaung Range: A mountain range in southern Myanmar and western Thailand, forming a prominent part of the Tenasserim uplands. Its ridges occupy the southern continuation of the Tenasserim mountain system.
Tanintharyi Region: An administrative region of southern Myanmar extending along the Andaman Sea coast. Its interior includes southern reaches of the Tenasserim uplands.
