The BMJ

The BMJ is a peer-reviewed general medical journal published by BMJ Group. Founded in 1840 as the Provincial Medical and Surgical Journal, it later became the British Medical Journal.

Peer review: Evaluation of scholarly work by experts in the same or a related field before publication. Independent expert assessment is one part of the journal’s process for evaluating submitted research.
