The Magnificent Seven
The Magnificent Seven is a 1960 American Western directed by John Sturges, in which seven gunfighters defend a Mexican village from bandits.
Seven Samurai: A 1954 Japanese film directed by Akira Kurosawa about samurai hired to protect a farming village from bandits. John Sturges recast its village-defense story as a Western.
