Theodosius II

Theodosius II was Eastern Roman emperor from 408 to 450. His reign saw the construction of Constantinople’s land walls, the publication of the Theodosian Code, and conflict with the Sasanian Empire.

Theodosian Code: A compilation of imperial laws issued from Constantine I through Theodosius II, published in 438. The commission he established produced this major collection of imperial legislation.
Pulcheria: The influential sister of Theodosius II, who served as regent and later shared imperial authority. She shaped government during his minority and remained a powerful court figure.
Roman–Sasanian War of 421–422: A conflict between the Eastern Roman and Sasanian empires that ended with a peace agreement in 422. It was the principal war with Persia during Theodosius II’s reign.
Arcadius: Eastern Roman emperor from 395 to 408 and father of Theodosius II. His death left the throne to his seven-year-old son.
