Thiazole

Thiazole is a five-membered aromatic heterocycle with three carbon atoms, one nitrogen atom, and one sulfur atom. Its nitrogen and sulfur occupy nonadjacent positions in the ring.

Heterocyclic compound: A cyclic compound whose ring contains at least one atom other than carbon. Thiazole belongs to this broad class because nitrogen and sulfur are ring atoms.
