Third Dynasty of Egypt

An early Egyptian ruling dynasty traditionally associated with the beginning of the Old Kingdom and the reign of Djoser. Its rulers oversaw major developments in royal architecture and state administration.

Djoser: An Egyptian king of the Third Dynasty associated with the Step Pyramid at Saqqara. His reign is the dynasty’s best-known and most consequential royal period.
