Thomas Blamey

Thomas Blamey (1884–1951) was an Australian Army officer who commanded Australian forces in both world wars and led Allied land forces in the Southwest Pacific during World War II.

Douglas MacArthur: A United States Army general who commanded Allied forces in the Southwest Pacific during World War II. As Blamey’s superior, MacArthur directed the theater strategy within which Blamey commanded Allied land forces.
