Tiddlywinks

Tiddlywinks is a game in which players use larger disks called squidgers to flick smaller disks called winks into a cup. Players can also try to cover opponents’ winks, adding tactical play to the scoring.

Squidger: A larger disk used to flick a wink in tiddlywinks. Its angle and pressure determine whether a wink pots, scatters, or squops.

Squopping: A tiddlywinks move that covers an opponent’s wink with one of one’s own. A squopped wink cannot be played until freed, turning position into control.
Cambridge University Tiddlywinks Club: A student club founded at Cambridge in 1955 that helped revive competitive tiddlywinks. Its formation brought organized play back to prominence.
