Tiwanaku polity

A pre-Columbian political entity centered on Tiwanaku in the Lake Titicaca basin, influential across the south-central Andes during the first millennium CE.

Tiwanaku: An archaeological city and monumental ceremonial center on the southern shore of Lake Titicaca. The capital concentrated monumental construction and ceremonial activity at the polity’s core.
