Toei Subway

Toei Subway is a rapid-transit network in Tokyo operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. Its four lines connect central Tokyo with surrounding districts and other railway networks.

Connect

Asakusa Line: A Toei Subway line connecting western Tokyo with eastern districts and railway services to Narita and Haneda airports. It is one of the network’s four lines and runs through major interchange stations.
Tokyo subway: The combined urban rapid-transit system formed by Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway. Toei is one of the two operators making up the city’s subway network.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government: The elected government administering Tokyo Metropolis, including its special wards, cities, and towns. The metropolitan government established the transport bureau that operates Toei Subway.
Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line: A Tokyo Metro subway line running between Yoyogi-uehara and Kita-ayase. It serves overlapping central districts under a different operator and line structure.
Mita Line: A Toei Subway line running between Meguro and Nishi-takashimadaira. Its route links central districts with northern residential areas.
Tokyo Metro: A private railway company that operates nine subway lines in Tokyo. It is the other major subway operator in Tokyo, with separate lines and fares.
Tokyo Rapid Railway: A historical railway company that built part of Tokyo’s early underground railway network. Its lines formed part of the foundation for the subway system later shared by Tokyo operators.
Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line: A Tokyo Metro subway line connecting Shibuya and Oshiage, with through services to suburban railways. It shares the role of linking central Tokyo to suburban lines but belongs to Tokyo Metro.
Shinjuku Line: A Toei Subway line connecting Shinjuku with eastern Tokyo and the suburb of Motoyawata. It provides a cross-city route and through service onto a private railway.
Shinjuku Station: A major railway station in Tokyo serving multiple rail operators and lines. Toei’s Shinjuku Line and Oedo Line connect at this high-volume interchange.
