Toledo

Toledo is a city in central Spain whose strategic location above the Tagus River made it a political center under Roman, Visigothic, and later Spanish rule.

Toletum: Toletum was the Roman settlement that developed into the city of Toledo. Its Roman foundations preceded Toledo’s role as the Visigothic capital.
