Tom Wolfe

Tom Wolfe (1930–2018) was an American journalist and author who helped pioneer New Journalism and wrote novels including The Bonfire of the Vanities. He was known for vivid scene-setting, social observation, and distinctive prose.

New Journalism: A style of nonfiction reporting that uses literary techniques such as scene-building, dialogue, and shifting point of view. Wolfe helped define this approach and gave it a name through his essays and anthologies.
