Knowra Topiramate Topiramate Topiramate is a prescription medication used to treat epilepsy and prevent migraine headaches. It is also combined with other drugs for weight management.
Voltage-gated sodium channel : A membrane protein that opens in response to voltage changes, allowing sodium ions to cross cell membranes. Topiramate reduces repetitive neuronal firing partly by limiting sodium-channel activity.
