Turbot

Turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) is a large, left-eyed flatfish native to the northeastern Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Black seas. Its firm white flesh is prized as food.

Flatfish: Flatfish are bottom-dwelling ray-finned fishes whose bodies become asymmetrical as they develop. Turbot belongs to this group and shares its sideways body and paired eyes on one side.
