Twenty-second Dynasty of Egypt

An ancient Egyptian dynasty of mostly Libyan-origin rulers that governed from about 943 to 716 BCE, with its power centered at Bubastis and Tanis.

Shoshenq I: The founder of Egypt’s Twenty-second Dynasty, who ruled in the tenth century BCE. His accession established the dynasty and began its expansion beyond Egypt.
