Knowra Unified Silla Unified Silla Unified Silla was a Korean kingdom that ruled most of the Korean Peninsula from 668 to 935. It emerged after Silla and Tang China defeated Baekje and Goguryeo, then contested Tang control.
Silla : An ancient Korean kingdom that expanded from the southeast of the peninsula and ruled until 935. Silla became the ruling core of Unified Silla after its campaigns against Baekje and Goguryeo.
Bone rank system : Silla’s hereditary social hierarchy, which assigned political status and eligibility for office by royal lineage. It continued to regulate elite rank and access to office under Unified Silla.

Sinmun of Silla : A Silla king who ruled from 681 to 692 and strengthened royal authority after unification. He suppressed aristocratic opposition and reorganized the central government.
Seokguram : An eighth-century Buddhist grotto near Gyeongju, built during Unified Silla and centered on a monumental Buddha. Its carefully composed sculpture shows the refinement of Silla Buddhist patronage.
Goryeo : A Korean dynasty that ruled from 918 to 1392 and unified the peninsula in 936. Goryeo absorbed Silla’s final king and completed reunification shortly after Silla’s fall.
