United Nations Expanded Programme of Technical Assistance : A United Nations programme, established in 1949, that provided technical assistance to developing countries. It was one of the two programmes combined to create UNDP.
World Bank : An international financial institution that provides loans, grants, and policy advice for development and poverty reduction. Unlike the World Bank, UNDP is a UN programme and does not primarily lend for development projects.

United Nations Children's Fund : A United Nations agency focused on children’s rights, welfare, and access to essential services. UNICEF has a specific child-focused mandate, while UNDP addresses broader development and governance issues.
Governance : The institutions, rules, and practices through which public authority is exercised. Strengthening accountable and inclusive institutions is a major strand of UNDP country support.
Global Environment Facility : A multilateral fund that finances projects addressing global environmental challenges. UNDP is one of the agencies that helps countries design and implement GEF-funded projects.
