United States Army

The United States Army is the land warfare service of the U.S. Department of Defense and one of the six U.S. armed forces. It organizes, trains, and equips forces for land operations.

United States Department of the Army: The federal executive department responsible for the United States Army. It provides the department-level administration and civilian leadership above the Army.
United States Army branch insignia: The insignia identifying a soldier’s functional branch, such as infantry, aviation, or logistics. Branches group soldiers by professional specialty and shape how units are staffed.
