Knowra United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement The United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) is a 2020 trade agreement among the United States, Mexico, and Canada that replaced NAFTA and sets rules for trade and investment.
Rules of Origin : Trade rules that determine a product’s country of origin for purposes such as tariff eligibility. USMCA’s regional-content tests determine which goods qualify for preferential tariffs.
North American Free Trade Agreement : A trade agreement among Canada, Mexico, and the United States that took effect in 1994 and was replaced by USMCA. USMCA revised and superseded NAFTA while preserving a trilateral trade framework.
