Ustaše

The Ustaše was a Croatian fascist movement founded in 1929 that sought an independent Croatian state through revolutionary violence. It ruled the Independent State of Croatia during World War II and carried out mass persecution and murder.

Independent State of Croatia: A wartime state established in 1941 under Axis sponsorship and governed by the Ustaše until 1945. The Ustaše movement became the ruling power of this state.
Ante Pavelić: A Croatian fascist politician who founded and led the Ustaše movement and headed the wartime Croatian state. He organized the movement in exile and became its leader.
