Vachellia

Vachellia is a genus of flowering trees and shrubs in the legume family, chiefly native to tropical and subtropical regions. Many species were formerly classified in Acacia.

Fabaceae: Fabaceae is a large family of flowering plants that includes peas, beans, and many trees and shrubs. Vachellia belongs to this family, whose flowers and seed-bearing pods help identify its relatives.
Gum arabic: Gum arabic is a water-soluble plant exudate used as a food ingredient, binder, and emulsifier. Vachellia senegal and Vachellia seyal are major commercial sources of this gum.
