Vassilis Tsitsanis

Vassilis Tsitsanis (1915–1984) was a Greek singer, songwriter, and bouzouki player whose compositions helped reshape rebetiko and establish modern laïko.

Rebetiko: An urban Greek popular music tradition shaped by migration, working-class life, and Eastern Mediterranean influences. Tsitsanis became one of the composers who transformed this tradition.
