Velupillai Prabhakaran

Velupillai Prabhakaran founded and led the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), which fought for an independent Tamil state in Sri Lanka from 1976 until its defeat in 2009.

Anton Balasingham: An LTTE theoretician and chief negotiator who represented the organization in peace talks. He articulated the LTTE’s political position and served as Prabhakaran’s prominent diplomatic counterpart.
