Video game accessibility

Video game accessibility is the design of games and gaming systems so people with varied sensory, motor, cognitive, and communication abilities can play.

Assistive technology: Devices and software that help people perform tasks otherwise limited by disability. Switches, screen readers, and alternative controllers can provide ways to interact with games.
Remappable controls: Controls that let users assign actions to different buttons or inputs. Players can place essential actions on inputs they can comfortably use.
Game Accessibility Guidelines: A public collection of recommendations for making video games accessible to disabled players. Its guidance translates accessibility goals into practical development decisions.
Game difficulty: The level and structure of challenge a game presents to players. Lowering challenge alone does not address sensory or input barriers.
