Viswanathan Anand

Viswanathan Anand is an Indian chess grandmaster who won the World Chess Championship five times. His rapid, intuitive play helped make him one of the leading chess players of his era.

World Chess Championship 2000: The 2000 match in which Viswanathan Anand defeated Alexei Shirov to become FIDE World Champion. This knockout tournament gave Anand his first world title.
