Wernicke's aphasia

Wernicke's aphasia is an acquired language disorder marked by fluent speech that may lack meaning and impaired understanding of spoken language. It commonly follows damage to language networks in the dominant cerebral hemisphere.

Receptive aphasia: An acquired language impairment in which understanding language is substantially affected. Wernicke's aphasia is a prominent fluent form of receptive aphasia.
