West Yorkshire

West Yorkshire is a metropolitan and ceremonial county in northern England comprising the metropolitan districts of Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Calderdale, and Kirklees.

Leeds: Leeds is a city and metropolitan district in West Yorkshire, England. Its metropolitan district is the county’s largest by population.
Local Government Act 1972: A UK statute that reorganized local government in England and Wales, taking effect in 1974. It established West Yorkshire as a metropolitan county in 1974.
