William Alfred Fowler

William Alfred Fowler was an American nuclear physicist and astrophysicist who studied nuclear reactions in stars. He shared the 1983 Nobel Prize in Physics for theoretical and experimental work on stellar nucleosynthesis.

Geoffrey Burbidge: Geoffrey Burbidge was a British-born American astrophysicist who helped formulate a theory of element formation in stars. He coauthored the influential 1957 paper with Fowler, Margaret Burbidge, and Fred Hoyle.
