William Baffin

William Baffin was an English navigator and explorer whose Arctic voyages in the early seventeenth century charted parts of the waters now bearing his name.

Baffin Bay: A sea between Greenland and the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, named for English navigator William Baffin. Baffin and Robert Bylot explored and charted the bay in 1616.
