Wiltshire

Wiltshire is a county in southwest England whose landscape includes the prehistoric monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury, the chalk uplands of Salisbury Plain, and the city of Salisbury.

Stonehenge: A prehistoric stone circle on Salisbury Plain, built in several stages between about 3000 and 1600 BCE. Wiltshire’s best-known prehistoric monument stands on Salisbury Plain.
