Winger (association football)

A winger is an attacking football player who primarily operates near a touchline. Wingers stretch opposing defenses and create chances through crosses, dribbling, and movement toward goal.

Cross (association football): A pass played from a wide area toward teammates near the opponent’s goal. Crosses are a direct way wingers deliver the ball into scoring positions.
