Women’s suffrage in the United Kingdom was the campaign to secure women’s right to vote in parliamentary elections, achieved in stages in 1918 and 1928.

Representation of the People Act 1918: A British law that enfranchised women over 30 who met specified property or educational qualifications and expanded the male electorate. It granted the first parliamentary votes to some women after decades of campaigning.
