Yablonovy Mountains

The Yablonovy Mountains are a range in southeastern Siberia, Russia, forming part of the divide between rivers flowing toward the Arctic and Pacific oceans.

Transbaikal: Transbaikal is a region of southeastern Siberia east of Lake Baikal and west of the Amur basin. The Yablonovy Mountains form a major upland within this region.

Arctic Ocean drainage basin: The Arctic Ocean drainage basin collects rivers and runoff that ultimately reach the Arctic Ocean. Rivers on the range’s northern and western sides belong to Arctic-bound drainage.
Chita: Chita is a city in southeastern Siberia and the administrative center of Zabaykalsky Krai. The city lies near the Yablonovy Mountains and serves as a regional hub.
Shilka–Argun River system: The Shilka–Argun river system forms the upper course of the Amur along the Russia–China border region. It is the larger Pacific-draining network receiving water from nearby slopes.
Khentei Mountains: The Khentei Mountains are a highland region in northern Mongolia and adjacent southeastern Siberia. They continue the upland terrain southwest of the Yablonovy Mountains.
Pacific Ocean drainage basin: The Pacific Ocean drainage basin collects rivers and runoff that ultimately reach the Pacific Ocean. The range’s eastern slopes contribute water to the Pacific-facing Amur system.
