Yangon

Yangon is Myanmar’s largest city and former capital, near the Yangon River in the country’s south. It is the country’s principal commercial center and a major port.

Shwedagon Pagoda: A major Buddhist stupa in Yangon, known for its gilded dome and religious significance. The city’s most prominent sacred landmark dominates its skyline and religious life.
Dagon: An ancient settlement in present-day Yangon, historically associated with the Shwedagon Pagoda. The settlement preceded the modern city and gave it an earlier identity.
Port of Yangon: Myanmar’s main seaport, serving the Yangon River and the country’s largest urban market. The port connects the city’s commercial role to international trade.
