Yekaterinburg

Yekaterinburg is a city in western Siberia, Russia, and the administrative center of Sverdlovsk Oblast. Founded in 1723, it grew around ironworks on the Iset River and became a major industrial and transport center.

Vasily Tatishchev: Vasily Tatishchev was a Russian statesman, historian, and geographer who helped establish Yekaterinburg. He organized the ironworks settlement that became Yekaterinburg.
