Yellow Emperor

The Yellow Emperor, or Huangdi, is a legendary sage ruler of ancient China, traditionally credited with cultural inventions and revered as an ancestor of the Chinese people.

Records of the Grand Historian: A history of China from legendary antiquity to the Han dynasty, completed by Sima Qian around 94 BCE. Sima Qian's account helped establish Huangdi's place at the beginning of a unified Chinese history.
