Yellow Sea

The Yellow Sea is a marginal sea of the western Pacific Ocean between mainland China and the Korean Peninsula. Its name reflects the yellow-brown sediment carried into it by rivers, especially the Yellow River.

East China Sea: A marginal sea of the western Pacific Ocean south of the Yellow Sea, between China, Taiwan, and the Ryukyu Islands. It adjoins the Yellow Sea to the south, with the boundary commonly placed near the Yangtze River estuary.
