Yokosuka

Yokosuka is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on the Miura Peninsula. Its deep-water harbor has supported Japanese and foreign naval forces since the nineteenth century.

Yokosuka Naval Arsenal: A Japanese naval shipyard and industrial complex established in Yokosuka in the 1860s. Its construction made Yokosuka a center of modern naval engineering and shipbuilding.
