Zhoukoudian

Zhoukoudian is a cave and archaeological site near Beijing where fossils and stone tools associated with Homo erectus were found. Its remains document early human life in East Asia.

Peking Man: A group of Homo erectus fossils discovered at Zhoukoudian, especially in Locality 1. These fossils made the site internationally known as a record of early humans in China.
